Our Salon theme is Turning Points, an event that will focus on positivity, connection, and reflection during this uncertain period we’re all experiencing. Our social-distancing-approved online Salon will be held on Livestorm and will feature new recorded talks from the speakers’ homes and performances and then a live interactive conversation with our speakers. Stay tuned as we will be announcing the speakers and performers soon!

🔴 What is a TEDxSalon event? They are sporadically held small events that keeps a TEDx community engaged between regular TEDx events. In this time of pandemic, we brought you the first-ever virtual TEDxAarhusSalon, themed around Turning Points.

Sune Lehmann

Professor of Network Science at DTU

Sune is a professor at the Technical University of Denmark, Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He took TEDxAarhus’ stage for the event in 2018 sharing ideas worth spreading in his talk titled: “Predicting your social interactions” 

Palle Bo

Radio and Podcasting Expert

Palle is a radio vagabond and digital nomad. In 2016, he sold everything he owned to travel around the world.

Maren Elise Skjerlie Gilling

Teacher and School Leader

Teacher and writer Maren Elise Skjerlie Gilling spent six weeks of 2017 at the Syrian border talking to hundreds of Syrian families about their lives, daily struggles and the escape from the war zone. This resulted in teaching materials for Danish school kids, lectures all over Denmark and a photo exhibition in collaboration with photographer Lars Schmidt.⠀
